Millbrook Golf and Tennis Club

Route 343, Millbrook, NY 12545
The Millbrook Golf Club was founded in 1900 by six local residents who leased 60 acres of land. Two years later, that land plus another 8.5 acres, was purchased for $20,000 and the next year the Golf Club House was erected. In 1912 the first directory was published with about 24 regular members. Over the next few years two grass tennis courts and several clay courts were built. Then in 1927 H.H. Flagler gave the Club the pavilion he had built for the wedding of his daughter Elizabeth and it was re-erected as the main clubhouse and was called the Tennis House. By 1932 the present Pool House, known as the Locker House, and a pool given by Flagler completed the facilities enjoyed by 72 members. The club became known as the Millbrook Golf &Tennis Club i

Millbrook Free Library

The Millbrook Free Library was founded in 1901, and in 1908 the family of Captain Robert M. Hayes gave the property and building. The Cary Wing was added in 1973 and the entire building was expanded and renovated in 2002. The newly renovated building contains the Flagler Reading Room, a separate reference and nonfiction room, the Children\\\'s Library, and the Bennett College Community Room. 845-677-3611
